The Chicago Police Department is continuing to investigate a string of violent attacks that occurred last summer. Four muggings took place between July 30 and Aug. 4 in the Lincoln Park neighborhood.
The victims were young men in their early to mid twenties. Each of them were walking alone and approached by their attackers from behind.
According to police, the muggers demanded the men’s wallets and then “savagely” beat them in the head and face. Two of the victims were hospitalized.
